Toyo NanoEnergy 3, 155/70/R13s. Anyone got experience with these? Also how should I keep the winter ones in storage ; horizontal or vertical? Google comes up with various results.

Stack them if you have room. If you put them on a rack the part of the tread that touches the rack can develop a sort of flat spot. But I don't know if it goes away once you use the tire. The tires I have on a rack right now will probably never get used.

Those tires, not that size, are what are stock on newer Prius. I have Toyo Eclipses in 175/70R13 and they are pretty good for a small all-season tire. Stack the tires is what I’ve always heard.

€30-35 (220-260 Kn) a tire, excluding balancing/mounting? It makes driving relatively cheap!

Yep, that’s thanks to the small size. Bigger sizes are almost double the price, so people here mostly buy used. Balancing and mounting is free once per year for our national car club members .

It’s quite incredible how prices can vary. I bought Michelin Pilot Sport SP3s for my Peugeot 205 CTi; €65 a tire (cheapest Toyo would be €45 o r so) . I had to go to 195/50R15 though, as the stock 185/55R15 had far fewer options, and at a much higher price. So it’s not just size but also how common the size is.

Yeah and the difference between name brands and no-names is also crazy. With tires as cheap as mine it’s worth it to get a name I’ve heard of instead of a chinese knock-off.

How did you fit them, a new wheel, too?

No I used the ‘old’ 15" Peugeot 205 GTi wheels the cars already had. Plus a spare rim I got from mister Biturbo228’s brother in law when I was there for the Wales Oppo meet.

I went for the ‘expensive’ option as well. Could’ve gotten no-name tires for far less, but for a car like mine you don’t want to save a few dozen Euros for such a critical item.
